Merry Christmas!

I feel so grateful to have met all of my students and their families in Chelmsford this year. Thank you for all the blessings I received this Christmas.

I moved to the UK in mid-January and started teaching in February this year. It hasn’t been long, but I have enjoyed teaching here so much. My students come not only locally and from Hong Kong, but also China, India, Ukraine, the Philippines, Turkey, Germany, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and more. It makes me feel wonderful to meet all the amazing families from around the world and learn more about their cultures. I am also really proud that I have been able to make my students improve their piano skills and enjoy playing the piano more.

Nevertheless, I have always missed my previous workplace in Hong Kong, GMC Music, a lot. They always provide precious opportunities of masterclasses with highly professional pianists and professors from all around the world—not to mention the incredible Steinway piano hall, which helped shape me into a capable pianist and piano teacher. I am always grateful and proud to have grown up and been trained at such a prestigious piano academy. I miss all of my teachers, colleagues and friends.

感謝學生和家長們的聖誕祝福🥰

今年我一月中到步英國，二月底便回復教學工作。經歷了10個月時間，我很感恩在英國遇到的所有學生和家長，他們都非常友善親切。英國是一個移民國家，我從以前主要教授香港學生，到現在我的學生家庭來自世界各國。我很自豪能從工作中和不同文化的家庭建立密切的關係，並且能在這年間使我的學生們琴技更進一步，更享受彈鋼琴的樂趣。

最開心是收到我在英國第一位跟我學琴的香港學生的中文聖誕卡！作為鋼琴老師，沒有什麼比越聽到學生說喜歡彈琴更有成功感！這位學生正準備考ARSM，但在過往兩年都沒法得到適當的指導。有幸這年間可以協助她分析理解樂曲和改善彈奏技巧，讓她真的「彈得到」更高階的樂曲，和發掘樂曲中隱含著更多有趣的地方。

這一切也有賴於一直以來（2X年來😆），我的老師們專業的教導和GMC的教學團隊活動，才能磨練到我成為獨當一面的老師。我經常都很感激GMC舉辦無數場的masterclass 和教學分享討論，離開了香港就更覺得這些資源機會矜貴！掛念我的舊同事、師長、朋友們。🥹
